About CMBC
The Canada-Minnesota Business Council (CMBC) was incorporated in 1994 and over the years has been a well attended and useful networking and speaker’ forum for the Minnesota business community. It reflects the size, complexity and dynamism of Canada-Minnesota business links. In 2008 the volume of two-way merchandise trade reached USD $20 billion, complemented by a substantial flow of people, services, investment, and R&D cooperation.
The CMBC is committed to carrying out the following objectives:
- Help build and maintain commercial relationships between Canada and Minnesota
- Provide information about the Canadian business climate to the business community in Minnesota
- Provide a networking forum for Minnesota firms interested in Canada and for Canadian firms interested in Minnesota
Event Partners & Sponsors
The CMBC organizes additional events/activities and partners with other associations to support events of interest to the Minnesota business community.
Social Programs
The CMBC hosts receptions in cooperation with the Consulate General of Canada, supports Canada Day events, and when Canadian entertainers visit the Twin Cities, CMBC members are notified and group ticket rates are arranged, if possible.
